Is print design still important?

With so much focus on the web and the convenience of online global access, print media has been receiving less attention. However, print media has endured the ages because it is reliable, unobtrusive and (as I just read today in Okanagan Life Magazine) it is a more trusted source for information. Although many customers are choosing online solutions as their primary references for research, shopping and entertainment, consumers are still purchasing and reading magazines, newspapers and flyers and are still going to the mall.

Print media goes where you go, it travels in your purse, wallet or car with you and provides a quick reference in way of a brochure, business card or coupon. Maybe more importantly, print advertising goes where online advertising can’t go… Into the ‘real’ world, posters on telephone poles and in shop windows, billboards and signage, and yes, even car vinyl.

In our opinion, a strong marketing campaign utilizes and harnesses a little of everything, vast in its audience and reaching everyone from techies to bookworms, the homes of stay at home parents to the rush-rush lifestyle of on the road business people, ruling the world several customers at a time.
